Using Tape to Patch in Difficult Areas.

Certain areas are hard to patch such as the back of the neck, especially over hair.

The arms can be problematic because of sweat.

It can be difficult to put patches on people who sweat in general.

For these situations we use tape.

There are 3 types of tape that I use. You can get these tapes in most drug stores.

Paper Medical Tape. This is the most inexpensive and works in most situations.

Plastic Medical Tape

This works better than paper tape over hard to tape areas. You can eaily tear it into thin sections which helps in small areas and for comfort.

KT Tape or Rock Tape

This works the best but is most expensive. It is made for athletes so it really sticks well even if the person sweats a lot.

This tape stretches with movement so it is very comfortable.

This tape comes in a 2 inch width but all you need is ½ to ¼ inches so you can cut it in strips so a little tape will go a long way. Use this for the most difficult situations such as the top of the neck or the hands.
